How to Tighten or Loosen The Cap?

Non-electronic aromatherapy device... how does that work?

Dynavap devices require no batteries or electronics to work, but rather utilize any heat source, such as a butane torch lighter, to heat a temperature indicating cap on a conduction/convection chamber.

Each model weighs less than half an ounce. Models are 10mm in circumference and 92mm overall length. The exceptions are the VonG models with a bigger 14mm circumference and XLS models with a longer 109mm overall length.

What is the V.A.S. (VapCap Accessory System)?

The V.A.S. is special to DynaVap’s modular device designs. The different components of each device are interchangeable and upgradeable to construct other models and/or provide customizability. Please check out our product compatibility chart for more details: Click here

What is the typical shipping time?

During weekdays, orders typically ship out within 1-2 days after the order was placed. Domestic orders typically take 3-5 days to arrive from the date shipped. International orders typically take 10-15 days to arrive from the date shipped, pending any delay passing through customs.

What does the "S" represent in some of our device names?

The "S", such as in Ti Woody-S or Ti VonG-XLS, represents the "spinning mouthpiece" available within that model. The spinning mouthpiece allows for an easier uniform heat distribution while rotating the device.

What does the "XL" represent in some of our device names?

The "XL", such as in Ti Woody-XLS or Ti VonG-XLS, represents the "extra long" version available within that model. The extra long device offers a longer condenser, and 109mm overall length, to assist in personal size preferences.

What is the function of a condenser?

The condenser tube serves as a heat exchanger to condense and cool the vapor as it travels through the device. In addition, the condenser tube provides an easy to clean component for vapor to travel and keep your midsection material clean from residue.

What is the difference between a Standard vs XL condenser?

The XL condenser is 17mm longer than the standard condenser. There is not a functional difference between a standard and XL condenser, nor does it noticeably alter the vapor temperature. The size difference is purely personal preference.

What makes the OmniVap condenser different?

The OmniVap system has a specialized design to allow for simple adjustment of the air and vapor ratio. Adjust by simply twisting the mouthpiece, which extends/retracts the condenser into the tip. This eliminates the need for air port awareness, as it allows hands free control and optimized airflow.

What is the difference between a body and a stem midsection?

A "body" is 45mm long while a "stem" is 62mm long. Please see our product compatibility chart for more details and models consisting of each type: Click here

What is the difference between single and double crown stems?

There is not a functional difference between a single and double crown stem. The second crown near the mouthpiece is offered for aesthetics as well as adds extra durability.

Titanium vs Stainless Steel?

DynaVap offers only the best materials for our products and fortunately customers can compare metals when buying tips, condensers and screens. The titanium components are all Grade 2 titanium and the stainless steel components are medical grade stainless steel. There are a few performance characteristics in each metal within the device as well. When compared with stainless steel, titanium is lighter weight and three to four times stronger offering optimal durability and lifespan. However stainless steel is cost effective and more scratch-resistant.

Our titanium tips offer a faster heat up time and distribute heat more evenly than the stainless steel counterpart. In addition, the titanium tips have three adjustable screen positions and have a titanium screen, while the stainless steel tips only offer one position and have a stainless steel screen. Both the titanium tips and the stainless steel tips are compatible with most DynaVap components, with the exception that stainless steel tips do not function properly with the Omni condenser assembly.

How should I heat my cap?

We recommend that you use a butane torch lighter for optimal results. To ensure even heating, apply the heat to the cap, away from the end, and rotate the device steadily until you hear/feel a click. Directly heating the end of the cap will cause it to click prematurely, causing reduced vaporization.

With a torch lighter and a titanium tip, the typical heat-up phase takes 3-6 seconds and remains at vapor production temperature until the cool down click about 30 seconds later. After the cool down click, it is safe to begin another heating cycle. When using a soft flame lighter, the heat-up phase takes about 15 seconds. The stainless steel tip requires a longer heat-up time than the titanium tip.

My cap is too loose or won't stay on my tip?

When cooled and off of the device, a slight squeeze of the cap will adjust the contact with the tip.

What is the purpose of a Fat Mouthpiece?

The black rubber Fat Mouthpiece (which is thicker than the standard mouthpiece of the glass Vapcap) serves as an optional mouthpiece for many of our devices. In addition, the Fat Mouthpiece serves as a 14mm adaptor to create a seal for a female coupling or water pipe adaptor (WPA). The Fat Mouthpiece will not fit in any Dynastash.

What are the differences between Dynastash models?

The Dynastash and Dynastash ER contain a compartment to fit a 92mm standard length (non-XL) device and another compartment for storage. In addition, the Dynastash ER comes with a tool and container for extracts. The standard Dynastash does come with a compartment for a tool, which can be ordered separately from the accessory section. The Dynastash and Dynastash ER will accommodate storage for a 14mm Ti VonG device, but XL devices require an Dynastash XL.

What to clean and how to clean my device?

All non wood components are dishwasher safe. Most components of the device can be disassembled by pulling apart. The OmniVap condenser threads into the mouthpiece. Glass and metal parts may be soaked in hot water or a cleaning solution of your choice. Do NOT clean with alcohol or other flammable liquids. Doing so may damage the condenser quad rings and any wood components. We suggest using DynaWax to maintain the polish on the wood as well as lubricating the o-rings for reassembly. Reassemble components to match the original assembly. When re-inserting, push pieces of the device together, adding lubricant and a slight twist to ease rubber o-rings in place.

There are a couple of ways to remove the scorch marks and soot from the stainless steel cap. Wash the cap with warm water and apply any of the following suggestions: metal polish, steel wool or a baking soda and vinegar mix. Scorch marks are part of the normal use patina, but to prevent soot buildup when using a soft flame lighter, keep the cap deep in the blue part of flame and try to minimize the amount of yellow flame. This will avoid the soot causing yellow part of the flame contacting the cap, as well as provide a more even heat distribution around the cap.

To use your VapCap:
  1. Most Important! Before your first use, please read all of these instructions and then do at least two, preferably more than two, dry runs with nothing in the VapCap! This is very important to become familiar with the operation of the unit and prevent unintentional combustion residues.
  2. The VapCap is unlike any other vaporizer, so give it a few tries empty to get the feel of its unique temperature-indicating click. Heat the VapCap in a quiet area, listen and feel so you know what you are looking for. If you are using a torch lighter, this should not take more than 5 or 6 seconds. Heat the middle of the cap not the end and rotate while heating. If more than 6 seconds go by and you don’t hear the click, stop heating and let it cool down.
  3. If you severely overheat your VapCap it can be permanently damaged. It is very important you hear the cool down click, or allow it to cool to the touch, before heating for the next cycle. Repeat this procedure several times to get the feel of how this little unit operates.
  4. When you are ready for the first use, let it cool down, then remove the cap from the VapCap.
  5. Fill the VapCap chamber with your material of choice. This can be done easily by pushing the VapCap into a container of your material and twisting. Pre-grinding your material is NOT needed like when using a bat or hitter. If you prefer to grind, go coarse. Finely ground material will get through the diffuser disc and into the unit.
  6. Place the cap back on the VapCap.
  7. Heat up the metal cap of your VapCap while rotating it, with the flame or heat source applied to the last third of the metal cap. Try to only apply heat to the side of the cap and NOT the end. This is not like lighting a smoking device.
  8. Continue rotating and heating the cap until you hear and or feel a click - this means the VapCap is ready!
  9. Puff on the mouthpiece. Experiment a little here. If you draw with the air hole completely plugged the flow will seem somewhat restricted. This is normal. Some find they get the best result by taking a long, slow steady draw with the hole completely open, and others will intermittently or lightly cover the air/vapor mix port. The way air flows through the VapCap cools the vapor to provide a smooth experience.
  10. Keep drawing as desired until you hear the click again, this means the VapCap has cooled down.
  11. When the vapor production diminishes, it is easy to reactivate. a. Make sure the VapCap has re-clicked “to cool” before reheating for the next cycle. b. If you are not sure if it has re-clicked, gently blow on the end to cool it. It may take up to 1 minute to reset.
  12. When there is no longer any desirable vapor produced, and the cap has clicked “to cool”, remove the cap. The consumed material can be either blown out the end, or the little tang on the cap is also a wonderful “digger outer.”
  13. Reload for another round of simple and wonderful vapor.
 
Tips:
  1. It is recommended that you use a butane torch style lighter with your VapCap.
  2. Wait until you hear or feel the reset click or at least 30 seconds after the VapCap stops producing vapor to reheat.
  3. It is VERY important to wait until you hear the cool down click before applying more heat.
  4. Stop heating your VapCap as soon as you hear the click until you get to know each other better.
  5. You can vary the intensity of the flavor by using the air/vapor adjustment port.
  6. Depending on your personal preference and heat source, as well as how many cycles since the VapCap was loaded, you may want to apply heat for 1-2 seconds after the click. This will provide for a different level of roasted flavor.
  7. DO NOT APPLY HEAT FOR MORE THAN 3 SECONDS PAST THE CLICK! OVERHEATING WILL PERMANENTLY DAMAGE THE VAPCAP!
  1. The end of the VapCap gets very hot during and following use. Do not touch the hot end until it has cooled. Also please do not put the hot end into your mouth.
  2. The VapCap can be safely put back in its Special Case or reloaded after the cool down click is heard.
We have done our best to remove the hassle from using a vaporizer. The VapCap doesn’t have any fancy digital display or lights, but it does make great vapor.
Cleaning instructions:
To remove consumed material from the chamber, either blow on the mouthpiece or use the built in extractor or “digger outer” to empty the chamber. The body can be cleaned with hot water. You can also use the included carrying case with almost any cleaning solution filled half full then shake or soak to wash your VapCap with the cap removed.
WARNING: Cleaning with alcohol or other flammable liquids is not recommended. Alcohol will not damage any component of the VapCap, even with prolonged soaking, but we do not recommend using it.
